If you collect vintage board games, here’s a 1950 SORRY! game that actually has most of the pieces in it! SORRY! (based on India’s game Parcheesi ) was a board game introduced in England in 1929 and published in the U.S. in 1934. If you’re familiar with it, you know it can be played by two, three, or four players. The objective is to get your playing pieces (all of one color) around the complete board and back “home” before any other player can. It's so easy that a five-year-old can play it, and so challenging that older children and adults can employ strategy in playing. I've always liked this game because there was enough chance in it that people of any age can play together on an even footing. This 1950 version – which needs no online features - comes with a board, four sets of wooden pawns, a booklet of instructions, and a pack of special cards which tell how many spaces can be moved and any special directions for the play. The board has the old-school “diamond spaces.” In this particular box, one card (one of the threes) and two pawns (both yellow) are missing. Everything else is in much-used but acceptable condition. The box is holding together with scotch tape, but it can’t help itself. You may want this set for your collection, or to supply more pieces for the set you have now. Questions?
